So, I wake up at like 8:15am, I step on my carpet and guess what? It's wet... so I find out that the carpet under my desk is soaked... and it's leaking water from somewhere... but NOT the windowsill. Where is it coming from? I have no idea... so Elim and I are confused.. she's in a rush though because now she can't do frosh stuff outside so she's scrambling to find board games... so I call Mike from upstairs because Elim woke him up earlier to get a board game from him. Me and him just mop up the floor and move EVERYTHING... like the wires, the powerbar, my computer, my organizer, my chair, my carpets... out of the room. I got downstairs and talk to my superintendent Brent... turns out the apartment beside us has the same problem, but they have 3 rooms flooding... I change and brush my teeth because Peggy is coming to get me at 9:10am...

So, we're walking downstairs on our way to campus... and right at Queen and Division... a car splashes water ALL OVER ME... so there goes my clothes... but what am I going to do? I still have to get my student card validated before going to Student Health so keep going... all the way there, my back side is soaked with water... SOAKED!! but we keep walking... she goes into JDUC (student centre), I walk to the library to get my student card validated. Then back into the rain to my doctor's appointment!

The doctor gave me the referral for the orthotics that I already got... and I show her my fungal infection. (Yes, that IS what it says... sorry for grossing you all out but that's what the dermatologist told me in Taiwan... ) She prescribes me to use Selsun lotion once a week, three times a week. So perhaps that is what I will do... or should I take the naturopath stuff... or do both? Hm... anyways, it's all very fast. I continue going on my way home and stop by Campus Bookstore to get some textbooks. Not the ones that are actual textbooks, but the coursewares, b/c I KNOW that I can't buy those used or from Chapters.

On the way back home.. it's still pouring rain... even more lonely now that Peggy isn't walking home with me... the textbooks that I got aren't too much, but still heavy, especially when you're carrying an umbrella, a bag, AND the bag of textbooks.... my shoes are soaked with rainwater... meaning my socks are soaked too... every step consists of a "squish, squish, squish" from the 10 for $10 pairs of socks I got from The Children's Place (YES, so cheap!) And now, I've returned home. To a room, that is still leaking water and still needing to be mopped every now and then. My arms hurt... probably from carrying the books and from twisting my thumb the other day. The other thing... is the mop from upstairs is currently not working the way it's supposed to be and I'm too tired to fix it... all I want to do is to take a nap. I don't think I'm feeling too well.... kinda feeling sick-like.

Surprisingly, I still feel thankful. I'm thankful to Elim for letting me use her computer 'cuz mine is currently unplugged. Thankful for Mike upstairs who would help me mop early in the morning. For Peggy to walk to campus with me. For the fact that other rooms in my apartment are leaking too because I'd have to clean up Steph's, Gigi's and Judy's room on my own when it's fully carpeted... (eww... can't imagine that... please, don't jinx it!) I'm tired now... I think I'm going to rest... I'll update on a day that seems... less crappy? =|

since the world seems to have stopped blogging, i thought i'd blog a bit!
today was a good day... way too tiring though!
first of all, it started with a wake-up at 9:15am to get ready and shower... then off to IKEA with Hsiehsers to look at back to school stuff. it's good that we didn't buy anything but at least Sam knows what he needs for school now...
then, finally got Will's birthday present. it's almost a month late now but I'm sOOO happy that i finally found the present i wanted for him. and i got drapes from Fabricland. now, who wants to lend me a sewing machine so that i can stop the edges from fraying...
then off to Kensington Market with Gendi, Queenie and Abby... never been there before... didn't know that it was so quaint. but kinda ghetto at the same time. had to leave early to fill my THREE cavities.
at night, got to eat w/ my parents and Enoch. yay! hahaha..
so tired now... gotta go... night nights!
